About The Fig
The Fig Classic is an annual event held in celebration of the life of Peter Fieweger, affectionately known as "Fig" by his family and friends. Peter was diagnosed with Primitive Neuroectodermal Tumor ( PNET ) in 1997 and was treated at the St. Joseph Hospital Regional Cancer Center in Orange, CA. Peter succumbed to this cancer in February, 1999. The Fig Classic is dedicated to Pete and is a continuing effort to provide funds for education and comprehensive state-of-the-art patient care and treatment, especially for cancer patients in the adolescent/young adult age group. In the first seven years of this event we have raised over $250,000. Thank you for your interest in supporting this worthwhile cause.
